I’m Julie Cella, a Corporate Internal Audit Consultant based in Pennsylvania, specializing in IT and technology risk. I work where technology, risk, and governance meet, and I like building practical ways to see how systems really work.

What I Do

I lead risk-based technology audits in the insurance industry, covering cybersecurity, cloud, identity and access, third-party risk, and operational resilience. Much of my recent work is in continuous auditing: automating control testing so assurance is faster and more consistent. I also serve as an internal subject matter resource on AI in internal audit, helping teams adopt AI responsibly and audit it well.

How I Got Here

I started out as a ceramic engineer (B.S., Clemson University) and have been doing some form of auditing since 2000, from quality systems and laboratories to data and, now, IT. That path still shapes how I work: start with the process, measure what matters, and fix the system rather than the symptom.
